Kale Chips

We are attempting to change some things about our diet…..ahhhh I know change can be scary. Overall I like to think that we are healthy eaters, but when I stop to examine the evidence the truth slaps me across the face. Turns out not so much. Oh sure we know a lot about what we are suppose to eat, what's bad for you and once upon a time (before kids) we did cleanses, cooked 99% of all of our own food and cut out everything that was processed. Now, let's just say not so much!

But now that Ellie has started to dabble in eating people food, it has re-sparked my love of wholesome, natural, know what you are putting you are putting in your body goodness. So we took a baby step today and Whole Foods happened to be having a rocking' good deal on Kale. I have always wanted to make Kale chips and refused to buy a bag from the store because I couldn't justify spending that much money.

Here's how it went down.
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
2. Wash and dry the Kale
3. Cut the Kale leaves off the steam.
4. Rip the Kale into bite size pieces and place on a baking sheet
5. Spray with oil (any kind you choose)
6. Top with any spice/seasoning that you want. We happened to pick a garlic herb blend and cayenne pepper
7. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes
8. ENJOY

I barely had time to snap a picture because as soon as I pulled the Kale chips out of the oven, they were gone! Let me know how it works for you and any delicious combos you happen to try.
