Fourth of July

This Fourth of July we decided to give my dad the father's day present of the year and put in a sprinkler system for him. Luckily Scott's dad owns a sprinkler company so we knew just the man for the job. We enlisted the help of my brother and future brother-in-law and staked the weekend of the Fourth for the project. Little did we know that it was not only going to be the hottest weekend of the year so far, but also a much bigger undertaking than we thought. Apparently digging a seven foot hole in your front yard is not the typical process that happens when you are trying to find the water pipe that the entire project depends on. Here are a couple of pictures from the project. We did manage to squeeze in some pool time, along with family bbq and fireworks.
Making sure the pipe goes in straight...it's a very important job

At Scott's parents house this weekend we swiped a pair of red bikes, complete with baskets and a little shelf on the back. We took the bikes out for a stroll around the neighborhood and found some amazing homes that inspired us to pinch our pennies a little tighter and dream a little bigger about where we want to end up and start raising a family. Hopefully everyone had a good, relaxing weekend; full of family, fun and food (and maybe no sprinkler installation :)
